In this mindfulness practice, we allow our attention to be easily caught by the feeling of the breath flowing, the sensations of the body, and the sounds in the room. We bring our awareness to these things without judgment, simply noticing them as part of the landscape of our present moment.

This is great
I was listening to this on a late car ride to the dentist which is already stressful enough because you know the outcome. but this relaxed the whole ride for me. Take a listen

Choiceless Awareness?
One of the odd things about this meditation is the title. So, once again, I found myself judging the word that didn’t seem to fit. I’d focus on the pain in my right hand without thinking of it as good or bad, but then my mind would wonder how it could be choiceless awareness when I chose to focus on it.

Scatter brain
This was by far the most challenging exercise for me. I found it difficult not to place emotions on my thoughts. It's as if she planted the seed of like or dislike. For example close your eyes please. Now think of anything you like, except a purple elephant. I'll wait. It can't be done. I'll revisit this on my own in the near future and try to do as instructed without taking the instruction. Namaste 🙏🏾

Diving in the deep
I learned that there is a lot of noise around us that when we become aware of them, we are able to choose what to listen and what to ignore.

Choiceless awareness
Making myself aware of what I am feeling without giving it a judgement can make me handle difficult feelings better.

Nice reminder
I really liked the concept hot in this meditation, the fact that you can find awareness in any sensation, then find another sensation, and then another… I think this is very applicable to any moment where you need to bring yourself back to the current moment and that wherever you are is exactly where you need to be

Better able to focus
Simple observation of things in my awareness. They are just there and then they’re not and something else is and it’s ok. Helpful

Self care
As I get older, I learn that I must take care of myself before taking care of others. Not out of selfishness but out of self preservation and an understanding that without caring for myself, I cannot help others.

Nice but talky
I liked the idea a great deal of non judgmental awareness but this was more of a lesson than a meditation. There was no way without SUPREME effort to concentrate on anything but the voice of the narrator which left no silent moments.

Choiceless awareness
Can be aware of things without judgement, even if typically viewed as negative. My sneakers were wet from my run but it just was. Wasn’t good or bad.

Honesty
I learned that honesty and openness is the best policy, if you do this then you can always have faith in yourself.

Day 52
I enjoyed being able to hope around to different things within my body and environment to focus on

Accepting
Observing something without preference is a great way to accept an emotion such as anger or disappointment, or even a sensation such as pain. I took a lot from this meditation.

Choice less awareness
It is harder than it sounds to concentrate on something without having emotion or thinking thoughts about it. This is a way to be mindful and present without judgment.

Sweet but to short...
I found this meditation easy and relaxing, my mind was quieter than usual. I had the river background sound on very softly, I focused nonjudgmental on it and the tightness in my neck. I pressed on the knots in my shoulders while listening and at the end I wished I could just stay in that peaceful place, with the river sound continuing to play for a very long time. Thanks, Heart Awakening 🙏

Breathing
This is an important lesson. I had to learn how to breathe for singing, but breathing to center myself is still difficult. I loved this practice.
