Anger is a powerful emotion. It is a very human emotion. When managed well, anger can even be motivating. But when anger is not managed well, it can sometimes cause unnecessary pain to you or those around you. The 7/11 technique can help you to manage anger by activating the parasympathetic nervous system. This will help your body to relax. You can think more clearly and make more reasoned decisions.

Mindfully handling anger
My 1st attempt at mindfulness. Breathing is actually a physical way to help dissipate anger.

anger
i loved this meditation, not just because it taught me how to manage my anger better, but it also gave me reasons to why this is a healthier option and what deep breathing actually does for my body!

I liked this technique. I will try when I'm angry or in a flight or fight situation.

Breathing Through
I have heard of the 7/11 technique and have had difficulty getting that breathing pattern down. I did not know you could use any numbers as long as the exhale is longer than the inhale. Will definitely be using this while creating a new meditation routine.

When I feel myself going to explode as I can get really short on some days especially if tired. I'll remind myself to breathe, 7/11 technique.
