Often we tend to control our experience and our circumstances, which can lead to stress and anxiety. Using the practice of focusing on the breath and welcoming the breath as it is, we undo control patterns, allow the body to breathe in it's own rhythm, and as a result, rest into a state of ease and acceptance.

Relaxed
This is a nice quick meditation that allows you to just be. Iโ€™ve been very busy lately and unable to get in many longer meditations. These 5 min sessions are great for me. Right now, I try to carve out 5 min here and there throughout the day.

Welcoming...
Sometimes when we are focusing on our breath, we try to analyze it and if it isnโ€™t to our liking, we try to change it. In this meditation, Cassandra has us welcome our breath just the way it is. As I got comfortable in my chair, I began to focus on my breath. I noticed how my chest and belly rise and the in flow and out flow of air through my nostrils with each new breath. After a while, I noticed my breath begin to deepen all of its own, giving me a sense of peace and calm. Indeed, this welcoming of my breath, just as it is, was incredibly freeing. Allowing our breath to be as it is teaches us about acceptance. When we accept things as they are, we lessen our chances of any unnecessary suffering because we arenโ€™t trying to change anything, but rather going with the flow of life. I noticed that i have very random thoughts
I need to control where my mind wanders to. And my breathing becomes more mechanical when I focus on it
