Befriending Stress
I learned to recognize and accept my feelings of stress. It is always reassuring to be reminded that everyone feels stress. Now I need to remember to use the many new tools in my toolbox...one of which is returning my focus to my breath. Thanks, Lyndi, for your guidance, 🙏🏻

Befriending Stress
I have suffered with anxiety my whole life. This past year I have done a lot of work with a therapist and on my own. I was super proud of the way I was handling anxiety. But with a major life event occurring that has provoked a lot of anxiety from me, I have felt anxiety that has been out of control. I have felt as though I’ve been failing because I’m still anxious. This meditation helped me to remember that anxiety is a regular part of life. It’s okay to feel anxiety from time to time and everyone feels it sometimes. Running from the feeling and belittling myself for feeling anxiety was making it worse. I was in denial of my feelings and doing myself a disservice. This meditation calmed me and centered me in the moment. But most importantly it reminded me to accept myself and be accepting of how I feel.

Befriending stress
Thank you Lyndi, for another wonderful meditation that helps us identify our stress, accept and then let go. Stress is something we all have and will continue to have throughout our lives. Learning to accept this stress, recognize it and to let go, means that we realize that stress is something we cannot stop but, must learn to live with and not fight against. Stress is natural and a way for our body and mind to cope.

Acceptance
I need to accept the things I can not change. Embrace the positive impacts it will have on my life and resist the negative reactions. By accepting positive change and letting it help me to grow, I can learn to face the negative changes in my life. They will not have as great an impact if I work on my acceptance spirit.

Excepting stress releasing resistance
I learned stress is natural, it’s part of everyone’s life. I can reduce the impact of stress by Accepting it and releasing the resistance that I have to it.

Befriending stress
I just couldn't get close to what the guide was saying. I understand about "feeling your feelings" so to speak, but I was completely blank here concerning stress for myself or others. But blank is good, right?

Befriending Stress
It calmed me down but I’m still not sleepy. It’s 3:30 and I just need to go to sleep after not having much sleep the night before.

This is a great meditation!
I started out wanting to rid myself with a sense of frustration, but Lindi helped me see that frustration is sometimes how things are, and to practice on behalf of my sister who is also frustrated. Namaste, indeed!
