Anger can do things that we cannot undo. The story demonstrates how damaging anger can be but we can learn to be patient.

Anger
When we are angry we often say things to another person that we don’t mean. We can apologize for what we said. However, the person that received our harsh words may carry that wound with them. It can cause damage to a relationship. Moral of the story is think before you speak.

Enlightenment!
I am going to try the exercise with the fence, nails and hammer. My hope is that a visual of my temper will give me new perspective towards my anger.

The things you say in Anger leave scars, not only to the hearts of others but to your own. Think before you speak

Things said in anger leave permanent scars that apologies cannot fill. Be aware of your words

Anger Management
The damage wrought by anger cannot be undone. Indeed, the worse damage anger inflicts is not to others, but to one’s self. Mistakes, unwise decisions, distorted perceptions, I have learned, are borne out of fits of rage and anger. The scars that remain inside are, upon honest reflection, painful lessons and reminders to be patient, to be kind to one’s self, and to be compassionate to others.

It is important to manage your anger, because words hurt. They may do more damage than an apology can fix , leading to regret later.

I had this on my fridge for my children to read everyday
I learned it’s not only for my children it’s for me too. I need to learn how to control my anger too.

Think about the effect of anger before taking action to avoid putting holes in the fence.
