We can expend far more energy than we realize through overexertion in even the most mundane of tasks. There is a key principle in the practice of Qigong that I share with you in this track to help you preserve your energy for what really matters. Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice of energy cultivation and is one of my favorite ways of practicing mindfulness. (Tai chi is a form of Qigong.) I hope you enjoy this recording and find it helpful. In peace and gratitude, Stephanie

“Qi(chi) Bank”
I like Stephanie’s coaching today. I had an idea while listening… what if we thought of our personal energy like money in a bank? Our financial advisor tells us to follow a budget. Today’s goal is to spend only enough energy to perform essential tasks. Do not use more energy on mindless tasks, like gossip, watching negative TV shows, more than 30 minutes of social media, and whatever saps your energy before the day’s end. Don’t over extend yourself. Be well.

This principle is so impactful because it suggests that there is always opportunities to free up space for ourselves, not only in the ‘big moments’ or ‘major life events’ but in the small everyday moments we may not think are important but they are. It’s the little things that make up life. Thank you for this 🙏🏼 I will be using it with my clients.
