Grounding In The Present

When we feel unsettled or stressed we can sometimes feel exhausted by endless thoughts flowing through the mind. This practice helps you to learn to work with your thoughts so you can begin to free yourself from them. You begin to understand through meditation that thoughts are just mental constructs, not necessarily facts. With practice, you explore and experience the awareness that you are that isn't defined by your thought processes. Responding Wisely To Thoughts

This mindfulness practice allows you to steady your mind ready for a new day ahead. We start by focusing on breathing and sensing gratitude, we then set intentions for the day. After your practice, you may feel more able to move through your morning with a sense of gratitude and presence.

Beginning A New Day Meditation

This is a gratitude meditation for you to practice at the end of your day or right before bed to help you cultivate a sense of appreciation for your life. When we practice gratitude at this time of day it can also help us to feel more settled and calm for sleep.

Evening Gratitude Meditation

In this meditation, Carla-Jo guides you to gently bring your attention to your feet and your heart/tummy, to ground your attention in embodied awareness. By doing this you can steady yourself when your mind feels very busy. If you practice this regularly it will help you to become better at noticing when your mind has wandered off and you will feel more able to bring it back to the body in the present moment.

Calming The Busy Mind Meditation

Sometimes we can get lost in thoughts about the past, worry about the future and we can feel overwhelmed. This mindfulness meditation helps you rest your body and mind by returning to the present moment. You choose which anchor of attention is best for you out of the options given and then you center yourself with it. Resting In Presence

In this mindfulness meditation, we explore connecting with breathing and how it can begin to soothe the body and mind. You find a connection with the breath which is right for you and you gently settle your attention on it with a caring attitude. Soothing Breath Meditation

Sometimes we can feel overwhelmed by our busy thoughts. This mindfulness meditation helps you to learn how to bring your attention to your present moment felt sense experience. We focus on bringing mindfulness awareness to the feet and belly breathing. When we do this we can begin to see the thoughts as clouds just passing through the sky and our attention doesn't get as hooked on them. Often the mind can feel so busy with never-ending thoughts. We begin to identify with them which can lead us to feeling stressed and affect the way we are in the world. This meditation helps you to ground yourself in your felt sense experience so that you can begin to witness the thoughts for what they are, mental constructs. In this practice, we become aware of hand movements & time them with the flow of the breath. This can allow the mind & body to soften, helping you to gain more clarity.
